Brewer’s Row takes its name from an attic practice space close by a neighboring Pittsburgh brewery. Formed in the Summer of 2005, the group then sought to showcase a collection of Nicholas Hohman’s music and to build and grow their original works. Nicholas shares the spotlight with his sister Leah for a stirring mix of raw and sultry vocals, occasionally trading lines as in the stirring duet, Stone Wall. Lending harmonies to the sibs’ soulful verses and leading on guitar, their father Mark brings a tenured skill to the group, with beaucoup years of music making. Bassist Corry Drake and drummer Nick Conti come together to form a world-class rhythm section, turning the operation into a full-fledged rock band.
